The SailGP Sydney event will take place on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 February, 2019. There are 6 teams representing Australia, USA, Great Britain, France, China and Japan. Each national team will compete in fleet races, culminating with the top two teams racing for a place on the winner’s podium in a match race on Saturday afternoon.

Friday 15 February: Racing from 4 – 6pm comprising of three fleet races where all six nations compete in each race and then a match race between the top two boats to determine the winner. Roads & Maritime Services will be enforcing an exclusion zone from 3 – 6pm.

Saturday 16 February: Racing from 3 – 5pm comprising of three fleet races where all six nations compete in each race Roads & Maritime Services will be enforcing an exclusion zone from 2 – 5pm.

Exclusion Zone

The exclusion zone will restrict traffic on the harbour and it may be that there will be increased Harbour Cruise Vessel traffic west of the bridge as well as spectator vessels moving to the event.

RSYS will not be racing west of the Bridge and have cancelled their races on Friday night and Saturday.
