A club night for Greenwich Women Sailors will be held Tuesday 19 November 2024 from 6.30 – 9.00pm at the Clubhouse. This is an opportunity for GFS women to get together and talk about ideas for increasing women’s participation in sailing and the Club. Women interested in sailing and GFS are also welcome and encouraged to attend. The aim is to:
· Meet each other and get inspired
· Discuss ideas to increase women’s participation
· Build a list of women who would like to crew in GFS races
· Invite volunteers to work on increasing women’s participation.
There will be a guest speaker – Erica Kirby, National Sailing Judge and Umpire. As well, there will be short presentations by GFS members Pam Joy (former Commodore) Holly Charalambous (Women’s Helm Organiser) and Leigh McLaughlin (Twilight Captain). There will be plenty of time for socialising and discussion.
