To celebrate 100 years GFS will be holding two events to mark the Anniversary.
The very first race contested as Greenwich 12ft Flying Squadron was held on February 14, 1924.
This year February 14 is a Wednesday and we will celebrate the anniversary following twilight racing. We plan to have an original 12ft skiff on display, some special prizes that mirror those awarded to winners of the first race, a birthday cake and some special guests. Please join us.
On Saturday 6 April, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm the Club will host a reception at the Clubhouse with canapes and drinks, music, a bit of history, lots of pictures to bring back memories and many friends to catch up with. More details to come.
